Con-way Inc. recently announced that Lynn C. Reinbolt has been promoted to president of its trailer manufacturing subsidiary, Road Systems Inc.

“This promotion recognizes Lynn’s outstanding leadership of this business unit,” says John G. Labrie, senior vice president of strategy and enterprise operations for San Mateo, Calif.-based Con-way Inc. “His deep knowledge of this business and extensive experience within the organization ensures that Road Systems will continue to grow as a successful designer and builder of top-quality trailing equipment.”

As the organization’s trailer manufacturing division, Road Systems designs, builds and sells freight trailers and other equipment to its sister transportation and logistics operating companies within the Con-way organization. The company has aggressive plans to increase its share of the trailing equipment market and is expanding its marketing efforts to grow its direct-sales volumes with external customers.

Reinbolt was previously general manager of Road Systems. A veteran manager with 16 years of service to the company, Reinbolt has overall management responsibility for the manufacturing unit, based in Searcy, Ark. He joined Road Systems as plant manager in 1990 and was promoted to general manager in 1992. Previously, he was materials manager at Bourns Inc., an electronic components manufacturer based in Riverside, Calif.
