Proper air-conditioning system maintenance can keep drivers cool and comfortable in their trucks as temperatures rise this summer, and also help prevent costly repairs.

Participating Kenworth dealers offer Kenworth PremierCare Air Conditioning Services to help provide driver comfort during hot weather. Kenworth dealers provide a spectrum of services ranging from a basic inspection to a premium 27-point inspection. Air-conditioning service includes a complete evacuation and recharge of the air-conditioning system, receiver/drier replacement, up to five pounds of R134a refrigerant, and compressor oil top-off.

“Kenworth PremierCare Express Air Conditioning gets all makes of trucks ready for hot weather in about an hour,” says Dick Von Lehman, Kenworth PremierCare national sales manager for service. “For example, during the premium 27-point inspection, Kenworth dealer service technicians check the belts and hoses, discharge and suction lines, air-conditioning airflow and controls, electrical connections, compressor, evaporator/heater coil and condenser coil, among other items. It’s definitely a worthwhile service that customers appreciate.”
