A July 26 meeting of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s Medical Review Board will address issues surrounding diabetes and neurological disorders that lead to seizures. The meeting, which is open to the public, will be held from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on July 26 at the Sheraton Crystal City Hotel, 1800 Jefferson Davis Highway, Rooms Crystal V & VI, in Crystal City, Va.
FMCSA established the MRB to review and revise medical standards for operators of commercial motor vehicles. The agency plans to update the physical qualification regulations of CMV drivers, and the MRB will provide science-based guidance
to establish “realistic and responsible” medical standards.
