Truck-Lite Co. worked Freightliner Trucks to deliver a door and fender mirror system for the truck maker’s new Cascadia Class 8 on-highway tractor. The fender mounted auxiliary mirrors and door mirrors are equipped with a single-arm fold-away feature to sit flush against the truck body. Additional steps were taken to ensure ease of service for component replacements on the road as well, Truck-Lite said.
The mirror system features heat and remote control functions as well as mounts that reduce glass vibration. The chrome or black housed mirrors were also designed to reduce moisture accumulation on the glass, increasing visibility, Truck-Lite said.
