Saia relocates Cleveland terminal, names L.A. regional manager

Saia announced it has relocated its Cleveland terminal to a facility in Richfield, Ohio. The less-than-truckload carrier also announced it has named John Wright its new regional manager for the Los Angeles area.

The Richfield terminal, managed by Tom Gillen, provides next-day service to all points in Ohio, Indiana and Michigan, as well as the metro Chicago area and much of northern Kentucky. All 65 employees domiciled at the Cleveland terminal have been relocated to the new facility, which has 115 doors, 9,000 square feet of office space, an 8,200-square-foot five-bay shop and 25 acres of land. Wright will manage the less-than-truckload carrier’s terminal operations in Calexico, Fontana, Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego, Calif. Wright has 25 years of experience in the transportation industry and has been with Duluth, Ga.-based Saia for 11 years, serving most recently as manager for the company’s terminal in Fontana, Calif.
