Matt Baczewski won a 2006 International CXT as part of CAT Scale’s Weigh to Win Sweepstakes. Baczewski drew the lucky key that started the new International CXT during the Walcott Truckers Jamboree, held July 12-13 at the Iowa 80 Truckstop in Walcott, Iowa.

Baczewski, who was one of five finalists in the sweepstakes, is an owner-operator leased to Marty’s Construction Services and lives in Sand Lake, Mich. Baczewski says he will take his 78-year-old grandmother-in-law for a spin in the truck.

The new CXT has many special features, including:

  • International DT466 I-6 300hp diesel engine;
  • Allison automatic 3000 HS 5-speed transmission;
  • Polished aluminum 70-gallon diesel fuel tank;
  • 5-passenger, 4-door crew cab with air suspension;
  • 8-foot duallie pick-up bed;
  • Polished aluminum wheels;
  • Exterior sunshade;
  • Back-up assist with camera;
  • Drop-down DVD screen and player;
  • Deluxe center console; and
  • Burled walnut wood trim.
  • Each time a driver weighed on a CAT Scale, they had a chance to win prizes instantly; CAT Scale gave away more than 11,000 prizes valued at more than $200,000. If a driver was an instant winner, he or she was registered for a chance to win a trip for two to the Walcott Truckers Jamboree and a key to try in the ignition of the CXT.

    The other four finalists were Brandon Pilgrim, Raeford, N.C.; James Allen, Clarksburg, W.V.; Ardith Tucker, Elkhart, Texas; and Brian Bourdeaux, Princeton, Minn. Each finalist received an all-expense-paid trip for two to the Truckers Jamboree, a special dinner in their honor, casino night, spending money and a CAT Scale jacket, hat and duffle bag.
