Barr-Nunn Transportation has increased the pay for its owner-operators to $1,100 every 60,000 paid miles, starting with their third appreciation bonus. The bonus of $1,100 will continue as long as the drivers are leased to the Granger, Iowa-based carrier; this is based purely on paid miles, with no safety qualifier.

Barr-Nunn also delivered its final trailer loaded with Barnes & Noble-donated merchandise on July 8 during Operation Homefront’s “Military Family Appreciation and Wellness Day BBQ” at Del Mar Beach at Camp Pendleton, Calif. Barr-Nunn team drivers Don and Jennifer Pena delivered the load.

In April 2007, “America Supports You,” a Department of Defense program that highlights the support of the American people for members of the U.S. Armed Services and their families, worked with Barnes & Noble, Y3K Grafix and a group of transportation companies. These companies and organizations teamed up to distribute books, toys and games to “America Supports You” homefront groups and military nonprofit organizations across the country.
