As Unicoil International continues to bolster distribution in the United States, the company is bringing on seasoned sales and marketing professional Steve Schwab as its U.S.-based vice president of sales, the company announced Thursday, Oct. 11.

Unicoil International, based in Vancouver, Wash., manufactures a universal alternative to pre-molded automotive hoses. Sold under the Unicoil brand by Gates Corp. and under the EZ-Coil brand by Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., Unicoil’s proprietary design allows technicians to bend ordinary, straight hoses into any shape for a custom fit for any vehicle by sliding the stainless-steel coil-shaped product down a length of hose to wherever a bend is needed.

Schwab will be charged with maintaining relationships through the company’s distribution channels in the United States and internationally, and targeting new marketing opportunities for the aftermarket automotive part.

Prior to his arrival at Unicoil, Schwab worked in various positions throughout WD-40 Co. for more than 25 years. He most recently worked with Leatherman Tool Group in Portland, Ore., as its vice president of national sales.
