Vertical Alliance Group Inc. announced that 11 new trucking companies have signed with FullFleet.com during the first six months of 2007, including private fleets Jack in the Box, Tree of Life, Inc. and BOC Gases.

The recruiting Web site connects private-carrier fleets with truckers, aiming to increase driver retention percentages, decrease a transportation company’s cost per hire and improve profitability. FullFleet.com was developed to counter a severe nationwide trucker shortage that the American Trucking Association (ATA) says currently stands at 20,000 drivers, but is expected to reach 111,000 drivers by 2014.

“As labor challenges continue to grow in the trucking industry, transportation companies of all shapes and sizes need a proven and efficient method to recruit and retain drivers. In 2007, that need has been high among private-carrier fleets, as illustrated by our growing FullFleet.com clientele,” said Jay Wommack, founder, president and CEO of Vertical Alliance Group. “Web sites like FullFleet.com that combine direct marketing, advertising and in-person recruiter training will continue to grow as a viable and cost-effective recruiting tool for trucking companies.”

Visitors to FullFleet.com click on a transportation company’s banner ad, or search for a business by state or category. That leads to the company’s detailed profile page, which provides applicants with everything they need to make an informed decision regarding a job position and company. Interested visitors then can submit their contact details directly to their preferred institution for further follow-up and information.

The advertiser’s profile page includes custom-written copy and graphics, as well as audio and video messages. It’s designed to pre-qualify applicants before they ever speak with a recruiter. The efficiencies gained by a recruiting staff using this system can be dramatic, the company says.

Content on FullFleet.com consists primarily of advertising and company description space purchased by trucking companies for a low fee that includes the ads and proactive customer support, ad tracking, advertising consulting and more.

FullFleet.com is an offshoot of Vertical Alliance Group’s flagship Web site, BubbaJunk.com, a recruiting site for commercial transportation companies to advertise openings for trucking jobs. Other Vertical Alliance trucking recruiting sites include TruckerTrucker.com for small trucking companies; 1099trucker.com, for owner-operators; and USTruckingSchools.com, which enables private trucking schools to recruit and enroll students in specific geographic areas.
