Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour recently issued a proclamation declaring “KLLM Driver Day.” The Oct. 13 proclamation was part of the company’s annual Family Day celebration and also helped to honor three KLLM drivers.

As part of the festivities, drivers Bill Fambro, Steve Jones and Tim Gillette were presented with framed letters from Barbour in honor of their accomplishments in the Mississippi Truck Driving Championships earlier this year. All three drivers placed first in their respective categories and advanced to the national competition.

KLLM’s Family Day is an annual event that brings together all KLLM employees and drivers, as well as their families, for food, fellowship and fun. It takes place on the grounds of KLLM’s main terminal in Richland. Close to 1,200 people attended this year’s event, the company says.
