FT Silfies recently announced that professional driver John White has been named the company’s 2006/2007 Driver of the Year. White, who is based at the company’s terminal in Aberdeen, Md., has been employed with Price Trucking for 24 years and has had only one nonpreventable accident.

White, who runs dedicated VA Concrete loads, drives a Kenworth with 820,000 miles on it, with the goal of hitting 1 million miles within the next year and a half. “John is the epitome of professionalism, and we are honored to be his employer of choice,” says Randy Sheeler, president of Nazareth, Pa.-based FT Silfies.

For this outstanding achievement, White will be given a seven-day cruise in the Caribbean in February 2008, a Driver of the Year jacket, a Driver of the Year decal for his tractor, a spotlight in the company newsletter and $250 spending money while abroad.
