New Mexico tax permits available online only

New Mexico no longer will accept paper forms for a weight-distance tax ID permit. Applicants may pay be credit card or by furnishing bank account information for an electronic funds transfer.

The online service is available at https://efile.state.nm.us. The system generates a confirmation page. The New Mexico tax credential doesn’t have to be carried in a truck, but it does needs to be kept at the vehicle’s principal place of business.
