Paccar recently donated a Peterbilt Model 387 truck to East Mississippi Community College for use in the school’s commercial vehicle drivers’ training program. Lex Lemmers, Paccar engine plant manager, made the announcement in a ceremony held on the school’s Golden Triangle Campus in Mayhew, Miss., and presented the keys to Rick Young, EMCC president.

Paccar is building a 400,000-square-foot engine plant near Columbus, Miss. Paccar says the $400 million facility will be a technologically advanced and environmentally friendly facility, where the company’s first U.S.-made heavy-duty diesel engines will be fabricated.
