ArvinMeritor names Cartmill GM/Commercial Vehicle Aftermarket

ArvinMeritor announced Thursday, Sept. 25, that it has appointed Craig Cartmill to the position of general manager for its Commercial Vehicle Aftermarket operations worldwide. Cartmill will be responsible for leading global operations for CVA and strategic deployment of lean principles.

ArvinMeritor’s Commercial Vehicle Aftermarket business has seen strong growth on a global basis over the last three years, both organically and through strategic acquisitions in North America and Europe. With Craig’s strong background, he will lead efforts to advance our distribution footprint, logistics, business systems and supply chain in the coming years.”

Prior to joining ArvinMeritor, Cartmill spent 27 years with Daimler Trucks North America. Most recently, he was director of parts distribution operations, where he managed 10 parts distribution centers for Freightliner, Detroit Diesel and Mitsubishi Fuso. Under his direction, the organization received awards for dealer satisfaction involving supply chain, as well as corporate recognition of quality systems. Cartmill also served as vice president of customer support and service, as well as director of worldwide parts distribution for Detroit Diesel Corp.
