To help companies promote health and wellness in the workplace and control healthcare costs, J.J. Keller & Associates Inc. has introduced LivingRight, a new health and wellness awareness program with tools to help boost productivity and reduce absenteeism.

Each month, subscribers will receive a kit addressing a topic critical to their employees’ well-being, such as heart health, stress control, cancer prevention, weight and dieting, smoking and nutrition. Some topics coincide with monthly national health observances or correspond with other issues that frequently result in high company healthcare expenses. A number of ready-to-use tools will be included in each kit:

  • 50 full-color employee bulletins that use graphics and headlines to grab readers’ attention, drive home key information on the monthly wellness topic and promote healthy living choices. Managers can hand them out during employee meetings or use them as paycheck stuffers;
  • One full-color 17-by-22-inch poster that can be posted in a lunchroom or frequented area in order to reinforce monthly health and wellness topics; and
  • Online content, including additional topic-related articles, an employee game or activity, and a step-by-step guide to help implement additional health and wellness initiatives.
  • “This program really gets to the heart of rising healthcare costs and employee illness by concentrating on well-being, behavior modification and productivity,” says Gina Piarulli, human resources product development manager for Neenah, Wis.-based J.J. Keller. “It also helps employees understand the importance of various wellness issues, become familiar with health implications and learn what they can do to make positive lifestyle choices.”

    A one-year subscription (12 issues) to J.J. Keller’s LivingRight is available for $179 by calling 800-327-6868 or by going to www.jjkeller.com/wellness. Callers should reference Action Code 23568 when ordering by phone.
