Navistar Inc. recently presented Norgren Global Vehicle Technologies with its 2007 Diamond Supplier Award, the company’s highest honor for suppliers. The award was presented to Norgren GVT executives at Navistar’s corporate headquarters in Warrenville, Ill. Norgren GVT earned the distinction for meeting and exceeding Navistar’s expectations for quality, delivery and cost.
Norgren GVT provides fluid and motion control solutions for powertrain, chassis and light vehicle applications to all major European and North American heavy-duty truck manufacturers, including Navistar, which produces International brand trucks.
“Norgren GVT has a good track record of quality, consistently meets our expectations for on-time delivery, and they provide a superior level of support,” says Steve Katzfey, supply manager for Navistar. “They’ve also been a great partner in working together on cost-cutting initiatives, and we share a strategic vision in leveraging technology to reach new levels of performance.”

Diamond suppliers like Norgren GVT create products of distinction by providing components at competitive costs, which allows the company to realize profitable growth, the company says.
