Marangoni Tread North America announced the manufacture of the company’s 1 millionth Ringtread on Friday, Dec. 12. Bill Sweatman, chief executive officer and president, presented each employee with a commemorative silver coin as a token of appreciation for their contribution. The coin has the image of the Marangoni logo on one side and the Alpha-Ring press on the flip side, with the inscription “1 millionth Ringtread, Made in the USA”.

After incorporating in 1998, Marangoni established headquarters in 2002 in Madison, Tenn., a Nashville suburb. MTNA began manufacturing with its Alpha-Ring System pre-cure manufacturing process, and products were sold through the independent Ringtread dealer network. In September 2006, Marangoni doubled manufacturing capability of the Madison facility, and in 2008, the company purchased a 100,000-square-foot building and the surrounding 12 acres for future expansion.

“1 million Ringtreads produced in this facility is a proud team accomplishment,” Sweatman said during a celebration with employees. “We work hard to continuously improve our manufacturing efficiencies, and that hard work is evident today. We employ lean manufacturing initiatives and a team-oriented management style that empowers the employees to do the right thing.”

MTNA manufactures the Ringtread for its North American Dealer network and for Marangoni divisions in Europe and Brazil.
