Decisiv Inc., provider of an advanced Web-based technology designed to enable more informed and timely decisions critical to maintaining commercial vehicles, announced that its Decisiv Service Management Platform (DSMP) has been integrated with QuickServe Online, the Internet-based reference for Cummins engine parts and service information.

Decisiv says the integration continues the expansion of features and capabilities in the DSMP, providing service locations with immediate access to comprehensive parts content and service documents available by serial number or product family for nearly nine million Cummins truck engines.

“Incorporating QuickServe Online into the Decisiv Service Management Platform provides fast and easy access to in-context parts and service information,” says Dick Hyatt, president of Glen Allen, Va.-based Decisiv. “It takes friction out of the service write-up process by eliminating the need to log into separate systems and open separate windows when a truck equipped with a Cummins engine arrives at a service location. For customers, it can increase asset utilization by reducing downtime, and improve repair quality.”

Developed and tested over two years by Decisiv, and driven by the company’s relationships with Navistar International and Volvo Trucks North America, the integration of Cummins QuickServe Online saves time and eliminates errors, which can lead to disagreements, according to Decisiv. The integrated system also makes available repair plans and service requirements for Cummins engines; future plans call for adding recall and warranty information.

DSMP, currently in use by about one third of the OE dealer community, goes by the brand names Diamond Estimating System and ServicePartner at International dealerships, MVASIST at Volvo and Mack truck dealers, DSMP at Freightliner service locations and Prevost.ASIST at Prevost repair facilities.
