Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) has launched the second year of its Internet-based TCA Supplier Directory. Available through a link on TCA’s homepage, www.truckload.org, the TCA Supplier Directory features industry-specific product and service listings designed to aid TCA members and the trucking community with their purchasing decisions.

“During these tough economic times, the TCA Supplier Directory really has become a critical resource for carriers,” said TCA President Chris Burruss. “It showcases suppliers who actively support our community through their dues and sponsorships, and I’m proud to post them to our site.”

The 2009 edition of the guide includes Request for Information (RFI) functionality, which allows users to contact participating suppliers with a few clicks of a mouse. With a downloadable search application available, the guide also gives TCA members the ability to search for items directly from a small window on their desktops, which makes finding what they need convenient and time-efficient.

Along with the option to purchase a graphically robust company listing, direct Web site hyperlink, and e-mail-generation capacity, the guide allows supplier companies to add videos to their listings for a small administrative fee. This feature gives guide users immediate access to video-formatted information and promotions that will help them easily procure products and services specific to their needs.

TCA partnered with MultiView, Inc., an Irving, Texas-based publisher of electronic buyer and supplier guides, to develop the TCA Supplier Directory in 2007.
