Frozen Food Express Industries announced Wednesday, Jan. 21, that Ronald J. Knutson accepted the position of chief financial officer, effective Monday, Jan. 19. Knutson, who also will be appointed the company’s principal financial and accounting officer, replaces Thomas G. Yetter, who has left the company.
Knutson, 45, is a certified public accountant and most recently served as vice president of finance at Ace Hardware Corp., a $3.8 billion wholesale distributor and retail services provider. He also has served as CFO and treasurer at Mascal Electric, and has nine years of experience in public accounting at KPMG LLP, where he was a senior manager.
“Ron is going to be a great addition to our senior management team as we shape our company to move forward in these turbulent times,” says Mit Stubbs, chairman and chief executive officer of Dallas-based FFE. “We are very excited to have someone of his caliber come into our organization with fresh ideas and perspectives.”
