Networkfleet, a provider of wireless fleet management, announced the promotion of Chris Ransom to director of product management. In this role, Ransom will be responsible for current and future development of the company’s fleet management products and services.

Ransom joined Networkfleet in 2007 as strategic alliances manager. During this period, he spearheaded the San Diego-based company’s efforts in the clean technology arena by working with its partners to quantify the clean air benefits of Networkfleet. Through partnerships with national, state and local clean air agencies, he helped Networkfleet to become recognized as a telematics tool fleets could use to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Before joining Networkfleet, Ransom worked for technology consulting giants SAIC, Accenture and Gartner Group as an industry expert, where he assisted companies of all sizes with various strategic initiatives. He also worked as director of business development for Cygent, a telecom software startup.
