Xata Corp. announced today, Feb. 10, that it has opened a larger, more efficient distribution center in Burnsville, Minn., a suburb of Minneapolis. The new 16,000-square-foot distribution center, which includes office space, will warehouse and distribute the company’s private and for-hire product lines, Xatanet and MobileMax.

The new distribution center will house about 10 employees. Xata’s previous distribution centers — two smaller facilities, each in Burnsville and Manchester, N.H. — have moved operations to one central location at the new facility.

“With Xata’s increased growth and an expanding product portfolio, we wanted to create more efficiency and increase the cost-effectiveness of our distribution,” says Mark Ties, chief financial officer of Xata Corp. “The new Burnsville distribution center achieves both those goals, allowing us to focus on providing industry-leading fleet management solutions to the trucking industry.”
