Mobile video surveillance provider Safety Vision has hired Dr. Tao Wu as lead embedded software designer for the company’s evolving line of mobile digital video recorder systems. Wu, who is fluent in English and Chinese, brings extensive hands-on experience with major network protocol design and implementation, as well as embedded operating systems, most recently with Samsung Information Systems America.

While working toward his doctorate, Wu earned several awards, grants and fellowships. He also has authored roughly 20 journal and conference papers and is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, the world’s leading professional association for the advancement of technology.
