MTA: Illinois bill would double state truck registration fees

An Illinois state representative has introduced legislation that would double state truck registration fees, according to the Mid-West Truckers Association.

HB 448, sponsored by Rep. LaShawn Ford (D-Chicago), also would increase the Commercial Distribution Fee (CDF) since it is a percentage tax paid on total truck registrations, MTA said Tuesday, Feb. 10.
