Herd North America announced its No. 4 ranking in the “Fastest Growing Companies in Manitoba,” as reported in the January/February 2009 edition of Manitoba Business Magazine. Herd says sales have increased by more than 227 percent over the last three years.

In 2003, Marc Daudet, president and chief executive officer, brought manufacturing techniques from Herd Bars and Bodies of Australia to North America. He then adapted the product lines to suit the North American marketplace, focusing on the premium and ultra-premium bullbar market segments.

In 2005, Herd acquired a 10-acre property in a Winnipeg industrial park to accomodate the company’s growth and future expansion plans. Herd says it has been able to stake a claim in dominating the ultra-premium semi-bullbar market segment and in leading the premium semi-bullbar market segment.

In 2009, Herd says it continues to develop additional product lines and new product innovations. “The needs and demands in today’s marketplace are changing, and we are well-positioned to take a leadership role in some new market segments in 2009-2010,” says Marc Palud, sales manager of Herd North America.
