Maptuit Corp., a provider of GPS navigation and route optimization for commercial transportation, announced that Land and Sea Forest Products has deployed NaviGo Advanced GPS Navigation throughout its fleet.

“Our operations team has been feeding Maptuit specific routing preferences on a regular basis,” says Wade Carden, president and chief executive officer of Land and Sea, based in Fairless Hills, Pa. “The result is that our drivers are getting routes through NaviGo that have been tuned to meet our expectations. This is lowering our toll costs, decreasing phone calls to our operations team, increasing driver satisfaction and putting us at customer locations with a high degree of accuracy.”

Maptuit says NaviGo Advanced GPS Navigation is a subscription-based software solution that runs on all the leading fleet management and mobile communications systems and uses an advanced proprietary routing algorithm developed specifically for trucking.

“Not only do we leverage the leading map data provider, Navteq, for our base data, but we layer our own snapshots of the truck network in order to take advantage of the tens of thousands of modifications, small and large, we receive from our community of over 80,000 truck drivers,” says Luke Wachtel, executive vice president of Maptuit, based in Burlington, Mass.
