Fleet One, a provider of fuel cards and fleet-related payment solutions to businesses and government agencies with vehicles, announced today, April 8, the expansion of its fuel card and fleet-related payment solutions to include the “Location Finder” texting service. Through this new texting feature, drivers or employees on the road will be able to use mobile phones and the Internet for assistance to find fueling locations accepting Fleet One fuel cards, the company says.
According to Fleet One, the service can be accessed by sending a text to 48696 with the message: FLEETOTR (for Over the Road drivers) or FLEETLOCAL (for Local drivers); this will provide customers with a link to search and sort locations based on criteria they set; drivers can further search specific stores for fuel type and brand, and get contact information or directions for the location.
The company says the service is available at no charge to all Fleet One customers and does not require any sign-up process; they can begin using the service at any time. Standard text message and Internet access rates apply and vary according to carrier terms.
