DST Inc., a provider of e-commerce parts supply chain solutions, announced the appointment of Stan Gowisnock to chief executive officer and president. Gowisnock recently held a seven-year position as executive vice president for WHI Solutions, where he led the charge in deploying technology that the parts aftermarket and manufacturers use to manage the supply chain. Previously, he was a senior executive and founder with Telecomp/icarz and held management positions with CCI/Triad (now Activant).
“DST possesses four critical elements to ensure the delivery of new-generation technology that is already developed, fine-tuned and working in the marketplace today,” Gowisnock says. “Those elements are the vision, the domain knowledge, the strategic business partnerships and the people to make it happen. As the nation embarks on its own stimulus plans to recharge the economy, DST will play a critical role in ensuring vertical market companies have the flexible technology tools needed to work smarter and more productively.”
Gowisnock says that in many cases, increased revenues and improved margins can be cost-effectively achieved by customers utilizing DST technology. “This is accomplished by DST simply complementing existing business systems with new technologies, thereby negating the need for expensive and resource-dependent comprehensive system replacements,” he says. “DST will aggressively work to formulate best-of-breed business models for our clients, recharging and revitalizing their operations in preparation for the next wave of economic resurgence.”
