Thermo King announces personnel moves

Thermo King Corp. — a Minneapolis-based manufacturer of transport temperature-control systems for a variety of mobile applications, including trailers, truck bodies, buses, shipboard containers and railway cars — announced the following personnel moves:

  • Anup Shetty was named aftermarket marketing manager, reporting to Gary Lemon, global aftermarket vice president. Shetty will be responsible for meeting Thermo King’s customer and dealer needs through new product introductions, marketing programs and promotions, and effective product management efforts. Shetty has extensive industry-related business experience in engineering, marketing, product management, sales, business development and general management with Parker Hannifin, Eaton Corp. and PeopleNet Communications. Most recently, Shetty led the product management and marketing team at PeopleNet.
  • Scott Bates, who was named truck product manager, will report to Doug Lenz, director of product management. Bates will have responsibility for developing product strategies that will grow the business by understanding and addressing customer needs, developing innovative solutions and meeting customers’ quality expectations. Bates has been with Thermo King since 2007 and most recently was aftermarket product manager. Bates joined Ingersoll Rand in 1999 and has worked in the construction technologies, security technologies and climate control technologies sectors.
  • Tom Kampf, who was named trailer product manager, also will report to Lenz. Kampf will have responsibility for Thermo King’s line of trailer units, which includes the SB+ Series and the Spectrum multitemperature units. Kampf joined Thermo King in May 2007 as APU product manager, where he showed his leadership in developing a clear strategy for the TriPac APU system, maintaining focus on improving the product for Thermo King customers and in bringing numerous new options for the TriPac to market.
