Purolator USA says it recently opened a new full-service processing facility in Farmingdale, Long Island, that offers comprehensive cross-border logistics services for shipments traveling between the United States and Canada. The 8,000-square-foot facility will service businesses located across the metropolitan New York region, including New York City, northern New Jersey, Westchester and Rockland counties, Long Island and southern Connecticut.

“We are delighted to have a physical presence in the New York metro area,” says Mike DiBenedetto, branch manager. “Businesses are aware that Purolator is the ‘go-to’ name for cross-border logistics, and the response since our mid-June opening has just been fantastic.”

DiBenedetto says the Farmingdale facility’s location provides easy access to the region’s airports, as well as to the critical highway system. Shipments arriving at the Farmingdale facility generally are processed and consolidated onsite, usually within a few hours of leaving their original destination, he says. “We realize that our customers expect us to deliver their goods as quickly and as cost-efficiently as possible, and we strive to exceed those expectations.”

Purolator, which maintains operations throughout both the United States and Canada, says customers also benefit from its expertise with U.S. and Canadian border clearance requirements. Purolator says it maintains a team of trade specialists who ensure that customers are in compliance with all regulatory mandates, and who also can help customers take advantage of trade enhancements offered by either government.
