Peterbilt of Richmond in Richmond, Va., received the 2008 Peterbilt TruckCare Dealer of the Year award for superior aftermarket service at the Peterbilt Motors Co. annual dealer meeting.
“Receiving Peterbilt TruckCare Dealer of the Year award serves as proof of our longstanding commitment to customer support throughout our organization,” says John Arscott, president of Peterbilt of Richmond, who received the award at the meeting. “We sell world-class products and feel a sense of responsibility to support them with exceptional service.”
Peterbilt of Richmond is a member of The Pete Store family of dealerships, a Peterbilt dealer group with locations in Georgia, Maryland, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. The award, presented jointly by Peterbilt Motors Co. and Paccar Parts, is given in recognition of superior parts and service support.

Arscott says that Peterbilt of Richmond’s ability to provide a high level of customer service is largely due to an exclusive partnership with Peterbilt and Paccar Parts. “Among other things, this relationship allows us to fully integrate our parts inventory management system with Paccar Parts, resulting in optimum stocking levels,” he says. “Our team also has access to an intranet, which allows them to do comprehensive parts research and an online survey tool to gather feedback from our customers on a continual basis.”
