ALK Technologies announced the integration of its PC Miler Solutions with Oracle Transportation Management 6.0, a global transportation management system that helps streamline planning, execution, financial settlement, visibility and business process automation across all modes of transportation. ALK says the integration involves numerous PC Miler products, including PC Miler|Streets, PC Miler|Rail and PC Miler|Worldwide to provide Oracle users with accurate up-to-date routing and distance calculations.
Oracle Transportation Management is designed to deliver robust transportation planning and execution capabilities to shippers and third-party logistics providers, integrating and helping streamline all aspects of transportation management on a single application across all modes of transportation, from full truckload to complex multileg air, ocean and rail shipments.
Oracle Transportation Management 6.0 is designed to enable lower transportation costs and improved customer service, while providing flexible, global fulfillment options. It includes Oracle Fleet Management, which helps administer private fleet and common carrier networks on a single platform, allowing for increased asset utilization, lower costs and reduced environmental impact.
