The American Trucking Associations is seeking nominations for the third annual Mike Russell “Good stuff” Trucking Image Award, which honors those that creatively generate positive awareness of the trucking industry. For a nomination form, click here.

“As an industry, it is important that we highlight trucking’s essentiality,” says Bill Graves, ATA president and chief executive officer. “This award provides a chance to recognize those that have gone above and beyond to promote trucking’s role as the backbone of the American economy.”

Submissions will be evaluated by an impartial panel of judges based on creativity, execution and reach/impact. All submissions must be submitted to the image campaign by Sept. 14. Winners will be announced during ATA’s annual Management Conference & Exhibition Oct. 4-7 in Las Vegas, Nev.

The award is named in honor of the late Mike Russell, a trucking industry supporter and media official who helped develop the “Good stuff. Trucks Bring It.” campaign (www.trucksbringit.com) as vice president of public affairs for the American Trucking Associations. By emphasizing the relevance of trucking to all aspects of American society, the industrywide image campaign presents the public with a positive, modern image of the professional driver and industry.
