The new Kenworth T470 brochure featuring the truck maker’s newest model is available from Kenworth dealers in the United States and Canada.
Kenworth says the new T470 significantly expands its product range in the vocational and municipal markets, including snowplow, dump, mixer, winch, refuse and other heavy front-axle vocational and municipal applications. The T470, which is available for order, has a gross vehicle rating (GVW) ranging from a heavy Class 7 vehicle at 33,000 lbs. up to a light Class 8 truck at 68,000 lbs.
The Kenworth T470 features a 9-liter Cummins ISL engine with 345 hp and 1,150 lb-ft of torque, and a range of manual and automatic transmissions. Front axles are rated from 12,000 to 22,000 lbs., single rear axles from 21,000 to 26,000 lbs., and tandem rear axles from 40,000 to 46,000 lbs.
The brochure also provides detailed specifications for battery boxes, brakes, bumpers, cab, exhaust options, frame, fuel tanks, hood, interior, starting and charging, suspension, wheels and tires, as well as special equipment and options.
