Frito-Lay, the convenient foods business unit of PepsiCo, has named C.H. Robinson, a third-party logistics (3PL) provider of transportation and supply chain services, as its Inbound Supplier of the Year for continually exceeding its service and execution expectations.

“C.H. Robinson’s commitments to service, execution and dedication to our business were the main factors in selecting them for this award,” says Rodney Noble, Frito-Lay transportation procurement senior group manager. “They have been very diligent with helping us find ways to reduce Frito-Lay’s carbon footprint through backhaul, among other initiatives. We really appreciate their hard work and dedication to driving bottom-line results.”

C.H. Robinson, which was selected out of 15 North America suppliers, has worked with Frito-Lay for more than 16 years. “We are honored to receive this award,” says Ted Tamul, PepsiCo account manager for C.H. Robinson, based in Minneapolis. “We have a strong relationship with Frito-Lay that has enabled us to work together strategically, create efficiencies and increase savings in their supply chain, and we look forward to continuing to help them reach their sustainability goals.”
