Donaldson Co., a Minneapolis-based manufacturer of filtration systems and parts, announced that it has been selected by Navistar Inc. as the system integrator for emissions aftertreatment used on Navistar’s 2010 MaxxForce Big Bore engines. Donaldson says the companies collaborated to optimize the aftertreatment systems for Navistar’s Class 8 engine platform, and that it will provide Navistar with the packaging of its non-SCR (selective catalytic reduction) diesel emissions aftertreatment systems.

“We are pleased to become Navistar’s partner in the integration of their advanced emissions control systems,” says Ted Angelo, general manager of Donaldson’s exhaust and emissions product business unit. “This agreement signifies our commitment to help Navistar achieve the EPA 2010 mandate without the use of SCR technology.”

“The ability of Donaldson to meet the stringent specifications provided by Navistar for exhaust aftertreatment solutions used on our 11-liter and 13-liter MaxxForce engines was integral to our selection of these products with this supplier,” says Bob Carso, Navistar Engine Group’s director of marketing.
