Pitt Ohio Express renews agreement with Sprint

Sprint announced that Pitt Ohio Express has renewed its agreement for Sprint to provide wireline services. The two-year $600,000 agreement includes Dedicated IP, MPLS and Managed Services. Through a previous agreement, Pitt Ohio also relies on Sprint for push-to-talk service, using 1,500 Nextel Direct Connect handsets to manage its drivers and fleet.

“Sprint has demonstrated that they share our dedication to quality and service,” says Michael Cisek, director of emerging infrastructure and operations support for Pitt Ohio, based in Pittsburgh. “A proven track record of superior customer service, support and network performance made Sprint the right choice to continue providing mission-critical communications for our operations.”

Sprint serves Pitt Ohio Express through its newly formed Business Markets Group (BMG). Composed of more than 4,000 sales, support, marketing and operations personnel, Sprint’s BMG is dedicated solely to enterprise, general business and public sector customers. BMG offers a combination of 3G and 4G technologies and applications, including integrated wireless-wireline services. The Sprint BMG unit delivers wireless, wireline and converged solutions for companies, drawing on a 3G mobile broadband network, a national push-to-talk network (based on call setup) and a portfolio of devices and applications.
