Mack announced that the first Pinnacle tractor assembled at the company’s Macungie assembly operations in Pennsylvania came off the production line on Aug. 13. Macungie already produces the Granite, TerraPro and Titan models, and with this addition now assembles the complete lineup of Mack heavy-duty trucks.

Mack, based in Lehigh Valley, Pa., says production of the Pinnacle model is being transferred to Macungie from the New River Valley Plant in Dublin, Va., to take advantage of efficiencies arising from consolidated assembly, and to create a brand-specific environment for Mack customers. Pinnacle production is expected to be fully transferred to Macungie by the end of November.

To commemorate the start of Mack highway truck production at Macungie, the first 1,000 Pinnacle models built there will be adorned with special Mack Bulldog decals on their hoods.
