The current recession may finally be ending. And as it does, the leaders of trucking will gather in Las Vegas, Nev., for the 2009 ATA Management Conference and Exhibition (MC&E) to lay the foundation for the coming rebound.

“Trucking moves America, and trucking will move the recovery when it occurs,” says Bill Graves, ATA president and chief executive officer. “Many uncertainties remain, but the businesses that will lead the coming expansion are making their plans now. That’s why you can’t afford to miss the 2009 MC&E.”

The MC&E trade show will be held at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas from Oct. 4-7. Three General Sessions and 15 Educational Sessions will provide up-to-the-minute updates on key economic indicators, regulatory and legal issues, and emerging technologies. More than 100 exhibitors also will be on hand to show the latest in trucks, as well as other products and business services. “Perhaps the most important part of MC&E is networking,” Graves says. “Trucking is a service business. That means it’s a people business, and the people you need to know are at MC&E. We make a special effort to reach out to first-time attendees, but even if you’re an MC&E veteran, there are always dozens of new companies and hundreds of new people that can give you an edge.”

From the opening golf tournament to the closing banquet that will feature Gill’s performance, the MC&E provides nonstop hospitality and networking opportunities to help attendees connect. In addition, FOX News Senior Political Analyst Brit Hume will offer insight on the volatile political environment, and Stuart Varney returns to lead a panel of top economists in an in-depth review of the business climate.
