Intelek Technologies Corp., developers of Web-based EDI and load-gathering solutions for the trucking industry, announced today, Sept. 15, the integration of its DiamondMine EDI translation software with TMWSuite enterprise transportation software from TMW Systems Inc.

Intelek says the integrated solution enables users of the client/server-based TMWSuite to exchange data seamlessly with the DiamondMine EDI translation software and a shipper’s system. The new offering follows Intelek’s integration between DiamondMine and TMW’s TL2000 solution for IBM iSeries or AS/400 platforms.

“We had many TMW customers asking for an integrated solution,” says Ron Edwards, president and chief executive officer of Intelek, based in Norman, Okla. “A growing number of shippers mandate that for carriers to receive additional loads, they must have EDI capabilities. DiamondMine EDI is a very effective solution that TMWSuite customers can now quickly and inexpensively implement so they can concentrate on moving loads instead of moving EDI data.”

DiamondMine EDI translation software provided as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution is hosted by Intelek on its IBM iSeries platform. Accessible to users over the Internet, the product is designed to allow a carrier to communicate electronically with shippers to transfer loads, shipment status records, invoices and electronic payments using more than 6,200 available EDI maps.

“This affordable solution can be quickly implemented, including most maps, at a minimal cost to carriers,” Edwards says. “The SaaS offering also eliminates the cost of hardware and software. For our customers using TMWSuite, DiamondMine EDI can let them concentrate on doing what they do best, and can save a company thousands of dollars per year.”
