Doran Manufacturing and DriverTech announced they have reached a collaborative development agreement to integrate the Doran 360 tire-pressure monitoring systems with DriverTech’s Windows Embedded onboard computing and mobile communications system for truck and trailer fleets.

The companies say that by seamlessly integrating the tire-pressure monitoring capability into the DriverTech TruckPC, tire pressures for tractors and trailers now can be monitored in both the truck cab and at fleet headquarters in real time.

“We are excited to offer the capability to communicate tire pressure information and critical low-pressure warnings to both the driver and fleet managers,” says Jim Samocki, Doran general manager. “We are proud to be working with a high-caliber company like DriverTech, to expand their capabilities into tire pressure monitoring.”

“The ability to monitor tire pressures and deliver real-time warnings to both the drivers and fleet managers is a unique capability that we are making available to the trucking industry,” says Mark Haslam, chief executive officer at DriverTech. “The combination of our software and Doran’s tire-pressure monitoring systems will help fleets improve their efficiency and reduce operating costs.”
