Abex offers air-disc brake pads

Abex has expanded its line of commercial vehicle braking products to include an offering designed for the latest air brake systems. Abex says the air-disc brake pads feature Federal-Mogul’s proprietary cast-iron backplate technology to facilitate a more secure bond between pad material and backplate, as well as reduced risk of corrosion – all in a more efficient and lighter-weight design.

Abex says each pad also incorporates an integrally molded friction V-groove designed to improve heat dissipation and eliminate excessive material stress to enhance performance under most temperatures and conditions. According to the company, the brake pads – which also feature application-engineered friction formulations designed to ensure added braking power, extended life and reduced rotor wear – are compatible with vehicles equipped with anti-lock braking and/or electronic stability systems.
