Decisiv Inc., provider of an advanced Web-based technology designed to connect fleet managers with internal and external service locations to more effectively manage service events and expedite the service process, announced Thursday, Sept. 17, completion of the integrated solution between FleetPlus, Decisiv’s fleet-facing service management software platform, and TMT Fleet Maintenance software from TMW Systems Inc.

Available to any fleet using the FleetPlus service management platform and the TMW software, this new functionality compresses inspection time and flows accurate data into the TMW maintenance management system, according to Decisiv.

Springfield, Mo.-based Prime Inc. — a refrigerated, flatbed and tank carrier — has deployed the newly integrated solutions successfully, Decisiv says; FleetPlus enables Prime to streamline trailer and-end of-lease truck inspection processes and capture results more accurately and quickly. The completed integration enables Prime to transfer the inspection results to the TMT Fleet Maintenance system seamlessly, according to Decisiv.

“Decisiv is very pleased to be working with Prime and with TMW Systems, a leader in the fleet maintenance software market,” says Dick Hyatt, president of Decisiv, based in Glen Allen, Va. “We recognize the need to help our fleet customers streamline their service management process and use advanced technology to eliminate paper, improve accuracy and speed maintenance and repairs. By working together with TMW, we have met these goals for our shared customer.”

According to the companies, the initial Decisiv-TMW integration enables fleets to perform interactive inspections using Motion Computing tablet PCs. At Prime, trailer inspections are done at 30-day intervals, as well as at the end of a tractor lease. The results of the inspections are sent from Decisiv’s FleetPlus into the TMT Fleet Maintenance software using a standard XML interface. Failure items are grouped according to VMRS system codes, and individual failure items are noted as comments. At predetermined intervals, the TMW software uses the FleetPlus data to open repair orders for trailer inspections and for failures. For tractors leased to owner-operators, the inspection can result in repairs charged to the lessee to bring the truck up to spec.

Decisiv says FleetPlus, the latest fleet-facing version of its Service Management Platform, is in use at a number of large national fleet customers, providing enhanced communication with service locations and increasing asset utilization by reducing downtime and improving repair quality. According to Decisiv, more than 100 fleets now utilize the Decisiv platform, as well as one-third of dealer and distributor service locations. The Decisiv Service Management Platform is licensed under the brand names Diamond Estimating System and ServicePartner at International dealerships, MVASIST at Volvo Trucks North America and Mack Trucks dealers, DSMP at Freightliner and Detroit Diesel Allison service locations, QuoteIt at W.W. Williams service locations, and Prevost.ASIST at Prevost repair facilities.
