Arrow Truck Sales Inc., a provider of pre-owned trucks, announced the opening of another new store in Minneapolis, the second new store opening for Arrow in the last three months. The new Minneapolis facility — located at 1300 New Brighton Blvd., just off Interstate 35W — will serve the entire upper Midwest region, adding to Arrow’s ability to serve the Northern Plains customers west of Arrow’s two current locations in Chicago. The store officially will open on Oct. 5.

“Even during the recent economic downturn, Arrow has continued to look at new markets and better ways to serve all our customers across the entire U.S. and Canada,” says Carl Heikel, president and chief executive officer of Arrow, and president of Volvo Used Truck Operations. “We know that at some point the economy will turn around. We are positioning Arrow for what tomorrow will bring. We are building for the future by continuing our strong marketing efforts and analyzing and implementing new strategic expansion campaigns. With these expansion efforts, we are attempting to be available to more customers on a personal basis in the Midwest to ensure that we address their transportation needs.”

The store will be managed by Chad Fine, who was promoted from his position as assistant branch manager at Arrow’s Cincinnati location. Fine began selling trucks three years ago with Arrow; prior to that, he spent seven years as a quality manager for General Motors. He is also an Army veteran of Desert Storm and is involved in the VFW and American Legion. Scott Taylor is regional manager for this and eight other Arrow locations throughout the East and Midwest.

Arrow is headquartered in Kansas City, Mo., and has 19 retail locations throughout the United States and Canada. The company carries all makes and models, maintaining a diverse inventory of more than 2,000 over-the-road tractors, vocational and specialty vehicles, and trailers.
