SAF-Holland refines Aftermarket Business Unit

SAF-Holland S.A. has appointed Alexander Geis as president of its Aftermarket Business Unit. Geis also will serve as a deputy member of the company’s management board, and also will continue to serve in his current position as vice president for aftermarket sales and marketing for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Also effective Oct. 1, Dan Millar will take on additional responsibilities as vice president of the Americas, Pacific and Asia Aftermarket Business Unit. Millar, who will be responsible for aftermarket sales and marketing in these regions and will report to Geis, will be responsible for all other aftermarket-related activities such as purchasing, scheduling, warehousing and logistics. Millar’s regional responsibilities include North America, Central America, South America, New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Korea, Japan and China.

“The Aftermarket Business Unit is an important growth driver that has made a significant contribution to the stabilization of the entire company,” says Dr. Reiner Beutel, chief executive officer of SAF-Holland Group GmbH. “The strategic profile will now be further refined and focused on international markets. We continue to anticipate dynamic development in the spare parts business.”

The Aftermarket Business Unit of SAF-Holland supplies products for the aftermarket parts business of vehicle manufacturers, dealer organizations and independent parts and service centers. SAF-Holland says it is rapidly expanding the number of its parts and service centers, which now are established in Europe, America, Asia, Australia and Africa.
