Averitt Express recently was honored with two different awards from Dollar General: “LTL Carrier of the Year 2009” and “Carrier Partner of the Year 2009.” The awards were presented to Averitt at Dollar General’s headquarters in Goodlettsville, Tenn.
Averitt says it received the “LTL Carrier of the Year” award in recognition of its efforts to meet or exceed Dollar General’s expectations in terms of on-time service, quality and flexibility. In order to earn the “Carrier Partner of the Year” award, Averitt was required to have been innovative and proactive in meeting Dollar General’s transportation needs in several areas, including less-than-truckload, truckload and dedicated services.
“We’re very proud to have earned this recognition from such a well-known organization as Dollar General,” said Gary Sasser, president and chief executive officer of Cookeville, Tenn.-based Averitt. “Our team is dedicated to providing all of our customers with the absolute best service possible, and these awards help to reinforce that commitment.”
