Trinium Technologies, a provider of enterprise systems for the intermodal trucking industry, announced the release of functionality to meet the new roadability regulations on DVIR processing.
“Our user advisory group came to us with the new DVIR processing regulations, asking that we put a priority on development to automate what could be a cumbersome process for intermodal trucking companies”, says Barry Assadi, chief technology officer of Trinium Technologies. “We jointly developed new functionality that will enable our customers to automate the processing of chassis data to IANA electronically from our system.”
The enhancements to the system include upgrades to Trinium’s cell-based mobile application, enabling the driver to enter chassis numbers and DVIR inspection data, enhancements to dispatch workflow and new EDI transactions that send the DVIR data on each chassis to IANA or the relevant chassis owner directly. All enhancements are focused on reducing the potential burden on the truckers’ internal staff.
“The new DVIR enhancements are included with our standard support and maintenance agreement, with no additional licensing or subscription fees applying,” says Dennis Lane, Trinium vice president of sales and marketing. “Our commitment to our customers is to stay focused on industry issues, adding new functionality when necessary so they can maintain a high level of staff efficiency.”
