Phillips Industries has promoted Rob Phillips to vice president of global operations. Phillips started with the company 15 years ago and has been instrumental in the dynamic growth Phillips Industries has seen in the last decade. He introduced lean disciplines and increasing employee participation in problem solving to help improve production levels at all Phillips operations.
Under his leadership, Phillips has consolidated three locations into one facility in Santa Fe Springs, Calif., added a company-owned Canadian Warehouse in Toronto, relocated a factory from Dallas to Saltillo, Mexico, and opened Shanghai Phillips in China. In his new expanded role, Philips will draw on his experience, creativity and passion for innovation to ensure that Philips Industries takes full advantage of its growing opportunities in Europe, Asia, and Latin America.
“Everyone at Phillips recognizes Rob’s commitment to building our company’s leadership position by continuously improving product quality and operational efficiencies,” says Bob Phillips, president and chief executive officer of Phillips Industries. “His promotion is richly deserved, and we expect his involvement in our global growth plans to bring us continued success as we enter new markets.”
