Eaton Corp. announced that Egon Lechner has been named solutions architect for the Hydraulics Group, and Astrid Mozes has been named president – Europe, the Middle East and Africa for the Hydraulics Group.

Lechner will work closely with Ruppert Russionello, vice president – Global Markets, on global segment needs and William VanArsdale, president – Hydraulics Group, on business development. He will continue to be based in Baden-Baden, Germany, and will be responsible for translating the business needs of Eaton’s global market segments into technical requirements, as well as working across the business to identify targeted customer solutions. Lechner joined Eaton in 2004 from Bosch Rexroth Industrial Hydraulics, where he served in a number of positions of increasing responsibility in sales, operations and research and development.

“Egon worked across business and geographic lines to help our businesses in Europe, the Middle East and Africa become the strong contributors they are today,” says VanArsdale. “His success in this position, as well as his technical background and experience, are some of the reasons we chose him for this integral new role in the Hydraulics Group.”

Mozes now will report to William R. VanArsdale, president of Eaton’s Hydraulics Group, and will relocate to Morges, Switzerland. She will oversee the group’s sales, marketing and operations infrastructure in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. “Astrid’s experience will be a great asset as she works to strengthen our capabilities and position in this important region,” VanArsdale says.

A search to find a successor for Mozes as senior vice president and general manager – Power and Motion Control Division is under way. Before serving in that position, Mozes was vice president and general manager – Controls Division, and manager – Business Development, Hydraulics Group.
