Eaton Corp. and Xiamen XGMA Machinery Co. (Xiagong) announced at the Bauma China International Trade Fair for construction and building vehicles and equipment that Eaton will supply its advanced progressive torque limited slip differential for Xiagong’s five-ton XG95611 wheel loader.
“With this new progressive torque limited slip, we can help Xiagong to provide wheel loaders that offer greater performance as well as significant improvements in overall fuel economy,” says Chris Ostrander, vice president and general manager of Eaton’s torque controls product division.
Eaton says its engineers worked closely with Xiagong to ensure the new technology was optimized for heavy load excavating and high dumping heights. Under normal road conditions, the Eaton performance torque differential are designed to perform like an open differential, but on wet, icy or loose terrain, torque is transferred automatically and immediately to the wheel with the highest traction, allowing the vehicle to maintain control and continue to operate under the most challenging terrain.
Eaton limited slip differentials are found in a variety of vehicle applications, including construction, agriculture, mining, off-road trucks and forestry and are engineered to work in front-axle, rear-axle and inter-axle applications. Eaton differentials are available as original equipment and as replacement parts.
